This press was originally used at the Stadsdrukkerij Amsterdam. In the early 1970s it was donated to a group of printers at “Het drukhuis”, the first open typographical printing studio in The Netherlands. In 1975 “Het drukhuis” had to close, and one of the printers moved the press to a new studio in a barn in the village Woubrugge. In the mid 1980s the press was moved back to Amsterdam, to the Veem building where the printer set up a new studio. The press changed ownership a few times, but remained in the same location until 2024 when it was disassembled and moved to Norway.
